About Me
You've finished the writing. Whether it’s a book, website, article, or something else entirely, you know what you want to say.
My job is to make sure nothing distracts from that.
Thoughtful, detail-focused proofreading helps ensure your message is clear, accurate and consistent, while also removing errors, awkward punctuation and anything that might distract the reader.
If you want a proofreader who understands when to step in and when to leave well alone, you’re in the right place.

My proofreading is detail-focused, but never intrusive. It isn’t just about fixing things – it’s about reading closely, noticing what others miss, and knowing when not to interfere.
I take care to preserve your voice while quietly tidying up the bits that might trip up a reader – spelling errors, grammar slips, awkward punctuation, inconsistencies, and the stray things that don’t quite sit right.
You won’t get pages of red marks. You’ll get clean, considered edits with comments only where they're needed – and a document that reads just as you intended.
And, if you have a question after we're done, just drop me a message – I’ll still be here.
What you can expect:
Thoughtful, quiet editing
Respect for your voice and writing style
Honest, helpful feedback
Follow-up support. I'll still be here after we're done. Just email me
How I Work
What you won’t get:
A rushed or careless edit
A know-it-all attitude
Unnecessary changes
A rigid approach that ignores context
I trained with the Publishing Training Centre and am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) – a professional body committed to maintaining high editorial standards. I follow proven editorial principles, stay updated on language trends, and approach every project with care, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Professional Standards
Outside of work, you’ll find me reading (surprise, surprise), trying my hand at gardening (with mixed results), crocheting, or enjoying a quiet moment with a double choc mocha.
